Queen Charlotte Islands

Queen Charlotte Islands
   A group in the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of British Columbia. Discovered by Captain Cook in 1778. Captain George Dixon examined both the eastern and western shores of the islands in 1787, and named them after his ship, the Queen Charlotte. The natives are known as Haidas.
